A big Barra from my backyard

A big Barra from my backyard

Fishing has always been a keen interest, ever since as a six year old armed with a Coke bottle wrapped with thirty feet of line I pulled in an undersized Whiting at Ross Creek in Yepoon, a very long time ago.

Like my hunting, my goal in fishing is to provide fresh quality food for the table.  As they say, every day spent fishing is enjoyable and any fish caught are a bonus.

We now live on the shores of a lake that hosts some big barramundi, plus lots of other fish as well.

I have not really explored the fishing potential of our lake at all, but will in time.  I also have a few fishing stories from my years in the Northern Territory.

Following are a few stories on fishing and related topics.
